Application for a place of study

Please note: Despite the online application, all required documentation must be received by the Matriculation Office before the cutoff date (December 31 for the summer semester, May 31 for the winter semester). Documentation received after the cutoff date will not be considered.

The following documentation must be submitted for the qualification process: certificate of a qualifying university degree, such as a Diplom or Bachelor’s certificate, etc. (notarized copy*, translated if necessary) at least a complete transcript of your grades (notarized copy) For the qualification check, you must provide evidence of the subjects you completed in your core studies. For this it is a prerequisite to fill in the following obligatory form. This has to be sent to matriculation office in due time. A CV in list form (two copies). Must show your background, without gaps, up to the time of application, with specific information about your education (schools attended, university study, examinations completed, etc.). Written statement of purpose explaining your reasons for choosing this program and this university (two copies) For applicants transferring between universities: a matriculation certificate for the last semester at your previous university (notarized copy* or original required) if applicable, evidence of any relevant training and employment as well as evidence – if available of your completed industrial practicum. if applicable, confirmation of additional subject-related qualifications. For international applicants: The required proof of German proficiency must be received by the end of the application period (notarized copy*, translated if necessary). German courses and language schools in Munich can be found under: Information for international students Your application will not be processed until all required documentation has been submitted. Applications without complete, appropriate documentation will not be considered in the qualification and matriculation process. *A notarized copy can be obtained by presenting the original document at an agency that holds an official seal, and at a few other institutions. A fee is generally charged for issuing the copy. Those authorized to issue it include notaries, district/city administrators and parish offices. By contrast, certified interpreters, attorneys and health-insurance companies are not authorized to issue a notarized copy.
