A doctorate is one of the highest academic qualifications awarded at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It testifies to the ability to carry out independent scientific research.
As a rule, a doctoral candidate will be able to work on their doctoral project, while also carrying out teaching duties and research, as a member of staff of one of the department’s institutes or specialist areas. Normally, the candidate is not required to attend classical courses or lectures in order to obtain a doctorate.
If you meet the requirements, you may contact one of the department’s professors to apply for supervision.
