The University of Applied Sciences Munich will hold its seminar in an online format. You can find the updated agenda here.

Agenda

We kindly invite you to this year's Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design of the Laboratory of Product Development and Lightweight Design (LPL) of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Our online seminar will take place on the 17th of November 2020 from 2 pm (german time) and is part of the lightweight seminar series hosted together with the Bundeswehr University of Munich and the University of Applied Sciences Munich. The seminar at the University of Applied Sciences Munich on the 3rd of November 2020 starts at 2 pm (german time) too. Please find the agenda and the zoom link here.

Call for Papers

Since 2003, the Technical University of Munich, the Bundeswehr University, and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich have been inviting researchers and experts in the field of Lightweight Design to the Munich Symposium of Lightweight Design. The Symposium aims to bring experts from both Academia and Industry to discuss new developments, processes, and possible applications for pushing research in Lightweight Design. We are inviting all interested researchers and industry-related practitioners to present their work. For the first time, the presenters also have the opportunity to get their work published as a manuscript at Springer. The manuscript can be submitted either as a short article or a full paper (guideline: 2-10 pages) in German or English. The article will be published in the Proceedings of the Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design 2020 (Tagungsband zum Münchner Leichtbauseminar 2020) as an online book by Springer. In addition, we also invite all those interested in Lightweight Design to take part in the free symposium, which will take place over three days at the different participating universities. You can register here.

A short description of the presentation or abstract can be submitted until September 11, 2020, via the Springer OCS system under the corresponding session. The template and guidelines can be found here.
