Our beginnings date back to the summer of 2009, when Prof. Maurer told us about the Carolo-Cup in his lecture "Driver Assistance Systems". This is a competition for autonomous, electric model vehicles and involves students from all over Europe and even China. Of course, the TUM (Technical University of Munich) should not be absent there! We developed our first vehicle in a laboratory of the Institute for Nuclear Technology. In the spring of 2010, the Chair of Automatic Control gave us a new home. One year later, the idea arose to not only use the workshop and structure that we were building for the competition, but to found a robotics team at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the TUM.
