Project Seminar for Bachelor's Degree Students

As a student of the Bachelor's degree course in Mechanical Engineering, you may take part in the Project Seminar as an alternative to the Engineering Internship. Here you will find information on the Project Seminar with Soft Skills (MW2348).

Registration

To apply for the Project Seminar, please contact directly the institute or chair which offers the project you are interested in. You may do this from 1.09.2019 - 13.09.2019. Please speak to the contact person, whose name is given in the project description.

Changes to Modules

Abbreviations:

KK: Core competence, SPM: Core area module, SÜM: Interdisciplinary module, EUK: Product Development and Engineering Design, EuP: Energy and Process Engineering, FuM: Automotive and Combustion Engine Technology, LuR: Aerospace, MuM: Mechanical Engineering and Management, MW: MSc degree course in Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc.MW: BSc degree course in Mechanical Engineering, MuI: Mechatronics and Information Technology, MedTech: Medical Technology and Engineering, NukTech: Nuclear Technology, PuL: Production and Logistics

Internal department changes (as of summer semester 19)

  • MW2029 becomes a new one-semester Bachelor module MW2421 with the beginning of SuSe19 and a new one-semester Master module MW2403 with the beginning of WiSe19/20.
  • New Master module MW2411 with the beginning of SuSe 19 (KK in MW, SPM in MuM, in all other MSc degree courses as SÜM).
  • New Master module MW2420 with the beginning SuSe19 (KK in MW, SPM in EuK, PuL and MuM, in all other MSc degree courses as SÜM).
  • MW1146 is integrated with the beginning SuSe19 in all Master degree courses analogous to MW1145.
  • MW2185 (Strom und Gas: Märkte und Handel, Supplementary Course) is no longer offered but replaced by MW2185 (Stromnetze).
  • MW2365 (Strom und Gas: Netze und Regulierung, Supplementary Course) is no longer offered.
  • MW2386 is a new Supplementary Course with the beginning SuSe19.
  • MW2422 is a new Supplementary Course with the beginning SuSe19.
  • MW2423 is a new Supplementary Course with the beginning SuSe19.
  • MW1731 (Supplementary Course) is no longer offered.
  • MW2414 is a new Practical Course with the beginning SuSe19.
  • MW2419 is a new Practical Course with the beginning SuSe19.
  • MW2426 is a new Practical Course with the beginning SuSe19.

Should a compulsory optional subject, which you have selected, no longer be available, the professorship will provide you with other possibilities to complete the module. Please contact the person responsible for the module as soon as possible.

Integration of modules from other TUM departments (as of summer semester 19)

  • CH3095 as SPM in EuP

Please note that modules offered by other TUM departments can also cease to be offered without us or you being notified. Changes of this nature will be notified at the beginning of the semester on TUMonline

New Guidelines, the latest Listing of Recognitions of Credits and further Informations

New regulation on submission of final theses (as of 01.04.2018)

This new regulation applies to all theses (BSc and MSc) which have been notified since the beginning of summer semester 2018, ie. on or after 01.04.2018. Terms papers are not effected.

The change refers to the centralised registration of submission in the examination committee office. All other procedures concerning theses (admission, registration, writing, marking) remain unchanged.

At the end of the six months allowed for the thesis, please contact the relevant office (BSc or MSc) and hand in a written, bound examination copy of the thesis. The timely submission will be registered on the sworn statement page in the thesis, which will be dated and signed (see Sample Cover Sheet and Sworn Statement for Theses).

Before marking the thesis, your supervisor will check that submission has been confirmed in the examination copy.
