44. Assistentenseminar “Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft Fügetechnik im DVS (WGF)”

Inspiring days at the 44th Assistant Seminar of the “Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft Fügetechnik im DVS (WGF)”, (German Scientific Society for Joining)! In September, our chair participated in this fruitful seminar, which took place in the idyllic Hotel Bollmannsruh at the Beetzsee in Päwesin. This event gathered research enthusiasts from the fields of welding and joining technology, additive manufacturing, and simulation, including professors, postdocs and PhD candidates.
It is especially worth mentioning that Simon Rauh and Thomas Reindl represented our research group and introduced their research to their colleagues. While Simon Rauh gave a talk on "Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Copper-Tungsten Composite Powder", Thomas Reindl gave a presentation on "Numerical Investigations on a Temperature Controlled Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing Process". In addition, our postdoc Nico Hempel and the head of the chair Prof. Peter Mayr represented the chair. Our chair would like to thank the organizers of the Technical University of Berlin for planning this successful event and giving us the opportunity to share our research results with such a dedicated and qualified group of professionals! In addition, we look forward to hosting the 45th Assistant Seminar in Munich in 2024.
