Uli Ebner completed his training as a precision mechanic (special area of precision engineering) at the Technical University of Munich in the Physics Department. After completing his apprenticeship prematurely, he did his civilian service at the Bavarian Red Cross as a paramedic. At FRM 1 Uli Ebner was entrusted with the manufacturing of the research devices. In February 2000 he passed the exam to become precision mechanic master. Since August 2000 Uli Ebner has been head of the technical laboratory at the chair of Medical and Polymer Engineering. In May 2007, Mr. Ebner passed the examination to become a business economist in the skilled trades at the Academy for Business Management in Munich. In 2009, Mr. Ebner was awarded the August Föppl Medal by the President of the TUM for exemplary achievements in the field of apprentice training. Mr. Ebner has been a member of the Faculty Council since July 2011 and represents the interests of the employees of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in this council.
