Das Thema seiner Dissertation ist “A Consistent Helmholtz Framework for the Accurate Prediction of Linear and Nonlinear Thermoacoustic Stability in Gas Turbine Combustors”. Die Prüfungskommission unter dem Vorsitz von Prof. Chiara Manfletti bestand aus den Professoren Aimee Morgans (Imperial College London), Tim Lieuwen (Georgia Institute of Technology) und Thomas Sattelmayer.
Gerrit Heilmann ist der hundertzwanzigste, von Professor Sattelmayer am Lehrstuhl für Thermodynamik betreute Doktorand mit Doktortitel.
