Curriculum Vitae Summary

I did my Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences at the University of Innsbruck in the field of flexible multibody system dynamics, my M.Sc. in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, and my B.Sc. in Automotive Engineering at the  Joanneum University of Applied Sciences Graz — each with distinction and almost exclusively with straight A's. Prior to this, I gained extensive work experience as an automotive technician. Currently, I am not only contributing to the mission of the Chair of Applied Mechanics at the Technical University of Munich as a principal scientist and member of the chair’s management team, but I am also a visiting professor at Boeing. Also, time and again I have been teaching as an adjunct professor at various institutions around the world. My research and work center on computational methods in the field of flexible multibody system dynamics / finite element methods / structural dynamics / model reduction; specifically, on the development of novel formulations and methods — combining classical with data-driven approaches — to accurately and efficiently analyze complex mechanical systems and to move from physical to virtual prototyping via real-time digital twins.
